We are constantly striving to expand and improve our offer for people with disabilities. Step by step, we are trying to remove barriers and provide access for everyone. We are grateful for your feedback and input. Please write to us at admin.allerheiligen@stsh.ch

Mobility impairment
The Museum zu Allerheiligen and the museum courtyard are accessible by wheelchair. The Museum zu Allerheiligen has a 1000-year history. Most parts of the building complex have been made wheelchair-accessible with the installation of stair lifts and lifting platforms. There are tw0 disabled toilets. However, there are some areas of the exhibitions that are not accessible to wheelchair users due to narrow spaces in the buildings. We are happy to inform you by phone about the accessibility of individual departments.

A wheelchair can be provided if required. It is available at the reception on request. Portable folding chairs are available from staff. Persons accompanying visitors with impaired mobility unable to visit the museum alone, enjoy free entrance. For evening events or other events outside the museum’s regular opening hours, we ask you to register in advance and to use the entrance at Baumgartenstrasse 26, where a doorbell is available. Please call us in advance at +41 52 633 07 77.

If you have any questions about wheelchair accessibility, please call us at +41 52 633 07 77.

Hearing impairment
Every exhibition comes with written information (usually in German): As handouts in the exhibition, on our website, or in some cases, in form of an accompanying publication. Guided tours in sign language (in German) are offered regularly. The dates of these events can be found on our german website.

Visual impairment
Guide dogs are always welcome at our museum.

Museum Café

Treat yourself to a fine coffee, a cool refreshment, or something sweet in the museum cafe, an oasis of tranquility in the lively old town.

The cafe is located in the reception area of the Museum zu Allerheiligen and is publicly accessible without a museum ticket. In the warmer months, we also serve our guests in the historic palace courtyard of the museum complex.

The menu features a wide selection of cakes, coffee, sweet drinks, snacks, and regional wines. For lunch we offer a fine daily soup, wraps, and savory or sweet thins, depending on the season. In summer we serve ice cream from Gelatito and our popular house-style iced coffee.

We are also happy to arrange private or business receptions according to your individual wishes. Please contact us for an offer. Of course, these events can also be combined with a museum visit or guided tour. We look forward to your visit!
